Behind the bookshelf, The Zebra Room is both a return to and a reimagining of the classic American steakhouse: an intimate space with seventies bones and the posture of a private society. The team at COJE engaged us to develop the identity from the room out. We shaped a voice and visual language that feel warmer and more personal than the weighty motifs of traditional steakhouse vernacular. The resulting expression is both powerful and welcoming, refined without feeling formal, nostalgic without being stuck in the past, and exclusive in scale, not in spirit.
