We worked with Garden Remedies to expand their customer base to new and casual consumers. Our focus groups indicated that while the category is on the rise, the vast majority of canna-curious consumers desire more education and hold a general lack of trust for product consistency and credibility. Anchored by a meticulously stable offering, we positioned Garden Remedies as the reliable and trustworthy source in an otherwise inconsistent market. In doing so, we helped Garden Remedies shed the weed stigma and gave customers approachable and comfortable ways to integrate their best-in-class product offering into their lifestyle.
The new identity injects warmth and freshness into a category typically defined by taboo and intimidating imagery. A friendly logotype and inclusive color palette pairs with relatable and real-world photography to position the brand among other approachable health-focused products. Together, the elements envoke the feeling of a “secret garden”, the calm and relaxing place in our minds where we feel at ease.
We designed a packaging system that made it easier to navigate products through consumption methods, creating an accessible entry point for inexperienced customers. Paired with a new portfolio-wide approach to packaging and product naming, this system allowed for easier shopping and identification. Together, the refreshed packaging tells a clearer story of cannabis and its benefits.
We redesigned the dispensary experience, leaning into consumer insights as well as the brand strategy to create a more welcoming and intuitive experience. With a more relaxed, friendly, and user-driven retail experience, consumers could explore products and education at their own pace. We strategically designed the flow of each space to provide separate but connected experiences for medical and adult-use users, a key finding from our focus groups.
Grounded in consumer insights and fueled by the brand’s founding beliefs, the new brand expression for Garden Remedies is a safe haven in cannabis, helping new and experienced consumers alike feel comfortable and confident exploring the category.
