The Role

We're searching for a fearless undergrad or postgraduate designer or creative technologist who is looking to contribute fresh perspectives and creative energy to our client work. Our 12 week paid internship program provides hands-on design and production experience. The Production Intern will work closely with the Production Director and collaborate with design and imaging teams to extend and deploy engaging solutions for our clients across diverse challenges and categories.

Responsibilities include

  • Support Pilot/Yellowfly in production and design tasks
  • Organize client-provided materials (dielines, references, objects, decorations)
  • Prepare Photoshop files for the illustration team
  • Create 3D renderings of packaging for presentations
  • Design presentation templates in InDesign tailored to specific brands
  • Develop a library of product applications (such as hard & soft goods, packaging, OOH, etc.)
  • Prepare creative materials and brand guidelines for various marketing platforms, including retail, trade shows, digital, and social media
  • Follow brand and internal standards for mechanical builds and file management
  • Ensure print files are ready for release, maintaining high design and typography standards
  • Produce one-page summaries or project overviews
  • Archive completed projects

The ideal candidate will have

  • Strong attention to detail and a preference for organization
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp/3D a plus
  • A demonstration of foundational design principles
  • A positive and humble attitude
  • The ability to thrive in a fluid, collaborative environment
  • An availability of 32 hours per week, Monday-Thursday

 

Please note: This internship provides direct hands-on learning with high profile clients and contractually confidential accounts. Work completed as part of this program cannot be used as portfolio material without prior permission from Pilot. This is an onsite position.
